Hello...

I am looking for some reviews/reports of experiences you have had with the Vortex coin mechanisms. I like the concept of the coin bins instead of tubes because of capacity, but I wonder about reliability. I have a couple of machines that become coin starved and thought these might solve my problem.

We personally do not like them as we feel they are not very reliable. If you are a small vendor you will have to deal with Coinco for service and they tend to be bottler oriented. The MEI 7512 will actually monitor what change you are paying out and make recommendations on what change tubes you would be best for your particular vend price. If you raise the price and your change needs are modified, then you can switch tubes to best accommodate the new price. Also you could look into a bill recycler if your vend price is high, this would allow you to take $5 and pay back $1 bills.
