I have a 9 select 501E.
We had a rain storm recently and i think that my S2D board might be messed up but im not sure.
The machine is not working in general. When i push the button to get to the menus on the board it goes to HD .. but i can't scroll through the menu with the front selection buttons.
when the machine is closed and locked.. if i push the first selection button sometimes the price is 1.00$ sometimes .75 cents.
the machine also doesn't recognize that columns 6 7 8 9 exist.
do you think theres a wiring problem because its been working fine before.
thanks for any help you have.

czero1, you say you cannot scroll through the menu. What happens when you push the #2 selection button? Does it show the price for column #2? If not, you may have a bad selection membrane(depending on age of machine).

when i tried it earlier it didn't do anything, like if i pushed the 1 button when it was on HD normally it shows the historical sales, but the button just does nothing. and the screen still shows HD. i will check the age of the machine if you tell me how to

sounds like you might have a bad button membrane if it has one. Newer machine have a button membrane, older machine have actual switches behind the button. Lokk behind the coin mech and see it there are switches or not. If there are swithes, my thoughts would then be the board.

i dont have switches behind mine.. just one long silver plate with a connection towards the first selection.. also the guy i bought the machine from said it was a newer membrane machine..
where would i buy a new button membrane and how much do they cost?

If you have the membrane type you can get it from any national parts retailer. We happen to use D&S Vending in Cleveland. Here is a link for the part if you chose to use them: http://dsvendinginc....n-membrane.aspx
Good luck. Not very hard to swap. I believe that will solve your problem.
