I have unplugged the connectors , replugged , machine power cycles , but will not take dollars - ( changer is full & clean of fuzz etc )

All selections work & are full of soda

Changer working just fine & all change slots are full will not accept dollar bills

Anybody know a good repair service in North East Ohio that's reasonable? Vending Supply wants I believe $140. for a refurb unit plus exchange sounds high as

Vendor's Exchange is in Cleveland. We repair them for $39.00 plus parts, and offer a 2 or a six month warranty. The six month warranty is $49.00. Or, we'll sell you a refurbished unit and take yours in as an exchange, for far less than $140. Probably about $70 depending on the model.

What kind of validator is it?

Morning...I'm a total newbie..I, too have a MARS unit on a Dixie Narco Soda machine. The dollar validator is not working. It's not even attempting to accept a dollar as if something is unplugged. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting everything, but to no avail; the solid red dot is still there indicating there's a problem. The coin mech, however, is working perfectly. Seems like a very easy fix, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know of a good repair service in the Philadelphia area that is reasonable? Also, could anyone provide suggestions as to what the problem could be when that is happening?

Generally, if the red dot is solid on the Mars, and it won't take bills, there is an issue with the validator. I would send it in. Don't know of any service center near you. We have people in New Jersy. Was this something that just started happening with your unit, or was it a problem that came with the machine?

It's something that just started happening with the unit. It worked fine a couple of weeks ago.

Then I'd say that it is a problem with the validator if the red dot is solid, and it won't take bills.

If you are still having trouble, Mars has pretty good technical support. 1-800-345-8172 last I checked.
