I was just wondering what is the best temperature to keep the soda machines at? When I got mine, it was running every 20 minutes for 9 minutes. I dialed the cutler hammer down and now it runs every hour for about 9 minutes. The inside temp of the product that comes out is 49-50. It tastes cool enough to me but was wondering if I should dial it down cooler?

The optimum temp shold be at 38 degrees The compressor will run as needed but should not run all that often as long as door is sealed tight.

at 50 degrees you'll likely get complaints about the temp of the drinks.

I have a feeling it will be turning on every 15 mintues or so if I dial the temp down that low. Its an old DN240 so I cannot find replacement door seals anywhere. It is not torn or anything but it is old and should be replaced. I did put some weatherstripping inside on both sides of the door and that seemed to help it seal a little better. I just don't want it to run all the time and jack up the electric bill.

I don't know what your electric rate is but it will cost less than 8.00 a month to run that machine at 38 degrees. Being an older machine maybe 10.00. If you use it for personal use unplug it until you have company. If its on location then I'm going to say they want commisions to cover electric costs tell'm its the cheapest benefit they can give their employees. Or tell'm you'll pay the extra electric charges if they'll pay maintenance on the machine. I'm just kidding honestly I'm estimating the cost I really think its less than 3.00 a month I'll calculate it tomorrow.
