I have a customer who wants energy saving drink machines installed. Currently I have three 720 Vendos that the owner wants replaced. My question is are the newer machines that much more cost effective. Which ones would you recommend? All of these locations are outside partially protected from rain by an over hang.

There is no such thing! ..... even though the machine your using is more efficient than 10 years ago, You have one of the largest machines there is which requires the most energy. Go to a smaller machine if you want to use less energy. Personally if you can justify 3 720 Vendos just pay the electric bill for him. Even though as technology improves and becomes efficient you would only see savings after 5 years. It still takes the same amount of "energy" to cool a can of soda as it did 25 years ago. It takes the same amount of energy to cool a can of soda to 38 degrees in 1 sec as it does to cool it in 3 days. The only thing that has changed is the lost energy ratio. It takes 1 calorie to lower 1 gram of coke 1 degree so just tell him your burning calories! Just a thought. Good luck.
