I have taken an old Lektro-Vend Model 165 paddle wheel snack vendor out of my storage room--it has been sitting there for 15 years or so--and I am trying to figure out what to do with it. It is in relatively good shape and was placed in storage when the price of candy went above the max value of the coin mech (40 cents I think).

I could send it to recycling, but I just hate to send these old machines there if I could get some use out of it. Does anyone know if a manual for this machine might exist; and if there is any way to increase the max amount the coin mech can accept. There is a sticker on the coin mech that says another price wheel can be installed to raise the price.

I have worked on various sorts of pinball and vending machines for many years and I generally like them. I do hate to send them to their death at the recycler.

I manage a bowling alley and I have been thinking that I could sell cheap glow bowling rings, etc. out of the machine if I can't get the price up. The best thing would be to figure out how to raise the price. Maybe I could install another mech assembly--though this mech looks pretty integral to the machine.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Best to everyone,

from what I remember it should price to $1 from the factory. Can you provide a photo of the coin changer?
