Remove power to the machine and remove the motor cover. Each motor has a colored timing cam facing you. There is a cluster switch on each motor with a narrow switch arm and a wide switch arm that ride on the outer edge of the cam. Looking at any properly functioning motor you will see the narrow switch arm in a notch in the edge of the cam and the wide arm still on the outer edge (high side) of the cam. This is the proper home position for each motor.
Looking at your problem motor, you may see both switch arms in the notch of the cam or you may possibly see the switch arms looking normal since the motor did finally stop vending at some point. Before we decide the switch is bad take a look at the problem motor's brake.
The motor brake is a brass lever that partially wraps around the motor magnet. This brass arm is in turn connected to a white nylon latch that engages the motor armature to stop the motor from turning. When the motor is energized, the brass arm is pulled against the magnet, pulling the latch away from the armature which allows the motor to turn. When power is removed by the narrow switch arm falling into the next notch in the motor cam, the motor loses its magnetism and the brass arm instantaneously pulls away from the magnet, engaging the white latch on the armature and the motor stops. If the hook on the tip of the white latch is broken off, the motor brake pivot points are gummed up or the brake is permanently magnetized, the brake may not move freely and either allow another vend before it does finally lock the motor or possibly stay stuck to the magnet, never stopping the motor.
Test the brake by tapping it against the motor to see if it moves easily. If it seems gummed up and moves slowly or it is stuck to the motor, or you see that the hook on the tip of the latch is broken off leaving nothing to engage the armature, then the motor needs to be replaced.
If everything on the brake looks fine and moves properly then you probably have a bad cluster switch that has a stuck plunger requiring replacement of the cluster switch.
Power the machine up and empty the product from the problem column. Now, carefully because there is 110V everywhere, gently lift the narrow switch arm out of the notch in the cam which will start the motor. Release it and move your finger out of the way, observing the motor operation. If it runs without stopping, watch to see if the brake appears to function close to how I described, moving freely. If so then again, I think the switch is bad.
I have these parts in stock if you need to purchase one of them. The motor switch is $12.00 and a good used motor is $25.00. If you need a motor I would need to know if it is for a wide column or a narrow column.
Please let me know how this goes and if you need a part.

Since this is a single price machine the price is set in the coin mech. Flip the acceptor down (top part of mech) and find the block of micro switches that are for pricing. Don't change any of the option switches. On the pricing block the left switch is. 05 and each switch to the right doubles in value. Turn on the switches that add up to your vend price.
Now test the mach to verify that the price is set properly. If the price is off by the value of one of the switches, just turn that value switch off and on a couple of times to clean the switch contacts, then try vending with money again.

much appreciated!
So the machine was free vending and only one can at a time as you pushed the buttons and this was on every selection? If so then it does sound like the machine price was turned off.
