Hey everyone, I am new to this forum.  I just bought a vending machine about an hour ago.  Here is a picture of it.

If anyone has any info on this machine, I would really appreciate it!

But my main questions are:

How do you change the price?

Can this machine have more than one price at the same time?

Also, what is this machine worth in good working condition?

Thanks everyone,

Kraig

That machine is a Dixie Narco DN276MC and it's only a single price machine. Your price changing is done in the coin mech. Tilt the top part of the coin mech down and you'll see a row of DIP switches for pricing. The left switch (1) has a value of .05. Each switch to the right will double in value, so sw 2 is .10, sw 3 is .20, sw 4 is .40, etc. Turn on the switches whose values add up to the price you need and then test the machine to see if it sells at the correct price.

I will add that the machine has an old metal bill validator in it and you should plan for it's replacement when it stops working. You'll want to upgrade to a newer plastic validator that is more reliable. You can PM me if you need any parts for this machine.

Excellent, thank you for the information.  I will mess around with it tomorrow once it has been upright for at least 24 hours since I had it on its side.  I am thinking of ordering some new buttons and flavor tabs off of ebay, unless I can find these somewhere else for cheaper.  Also, how much do the new plastic validators cost?

I have buttons and flavor strips for lower prices than Ebay in most cases.  If you'll PM me I can quote prices for what you need.

Is there a reason it wouldn't allow me to send you a message?  It said you cannot receive new messages.  Maybe PM me your email?

Hi Kraig, in order to change the prices for your vending machine you 1, open the machine and find the control board, usually in upper left-hand corner of machine.  2, there is a blue mode button you press once.  3, on the outside of the machine it will say HD on the screen.  4- the top two selection buttons are the way you go through the menu inside the programming.  5-hold the top two buttons down at once until the screen displays "S-P".  6- to set individual prices for each drink, go through each button by holding the drink button down as the screen shows the price going up.  If you want to lower the price, release, and then press the button again and it will decrease the price.  Do this for each drink.  If however, you want to have all drinks priced the same, then just select the desired price on the first button, once this is done, hold the third and fourth button down for fifteen seconds and it will activate the same price for all the products.
