I have finally registered my assumed business name...$5 with the clerk, $90 with the paper (ouch!). I was looking at the options for charites and it seems they all have stickers you are supposed to put on the machine. It may just be me, but I think it looks kind of tacky to put those stickers on your machine. Do you really put these stickers on your machine?

Hi Joe,

Yes, I place those stickers on my machines and don't mind giving to others who need the help. Even if I did not have those stickers on the machines I would be glad to give donations.

Yes, the charity is usually what gets you in the door. It's only right to give them their due.

Absolutley! In some cases, depending on the charity, the visibility of the charity is more important than the $1.00 or $1.50 royalty. Like vanished children for instance.

The charity is kind of like a preset commission for each machine. You already know what you are paying b/c it is a predetermined flat rate (ex. $1.50/machine), and generally helps secure the location without paying the establishment a commission. Fair trade to exibit a sticker and help a charity in the process!!

Y'all are right. I suppose if they get you in the door they should have their sticker displayed. The more I think about it the better it seems to have a sticker on it. People can feel good when they put their quarters in the machines. I guess those stickers don't look all the tacky.

Just do as I do and laminate the stickers and place them inside the globe facing out. That way you can reuse them if anything ever happens to the machine. Plus they wont get damaged due to kids drawing on them or trying to peel them off.

Hi Sam,

The charity that you deal with will supply the stickers for your machines. Once you contact them, they will send you the stickers.

Check out the charities page on my website for links to the charities that have vending royalty programs available.

To be honest, I use a program of my own, K.I.D.S. , and I have stickers, but don't use them!
