Does anyone know anything about Ashland gumball machines? How do they compare to other bulk vending machines. See photo.

Ashland machine are mostly copies of other machines. I have some in my arsenal and I have found that they work well in low to medium traffic stops. They don’t seem to hold up as well as other machines. I usually place them in the slower locations so that I can repair or replace them, on average, about once a year. If you have a high traffic area you’ll want to use North Western or Beaver machines. They both seem to hold up better than the Ashland machines. But another consideration is the price. It cost less, in most cases, to fix an Ashland than it does to fix North Western or a Beaver. You have to consider if it is worth it in lost sales, lost time and possibly a lost location to use a cheap machine instead of a quality more expensive machine.
Let me be honest and say that as a general rule I truly don’t think that the brand of machine makes a lot of difference in the amount of vends a location will generate when you compare a single head, double head or triple against each other, As long as the machine(s) are kept clean and they have fresh product and are in working order, your unit sale should be about the same regardless of which machine you set. I know that some vendors will argue that more product selections will get more vends but in most cases I have proven that theory wrong. Most people will buy any candy to satisfy their sweet tooth. I hope this information helps you.
