What kind of luck have any of the experienced operators had with selling energy drinks? I have seen them for a long time selling for about $2 bucks a bottle. One of my competitors now has his priced at $2.50 for the small Red Bull cans. He seems to be doing ok on them too.

What other energy drinks have been doing well for you?
What have you been able to get for them?

Sam's Club seems to range about $1.10-1.40 per can of Monster and Red Bull products.

Any luck with Havoc?
Any luck with Starbucks?

Do they sell better than sodas?

I am particularly interested in people's experience with energy drinks at schools and colleges were there is typically a younger customer who is "in" to them.

All responses are welcome!

Sincerely,

I sell the 8.3 oz. Redbull for 2.25 and it works good for me. Same price for Monster. You probably can sell for 2.50 at the right location but may be losing a little velocity. They ave. 1.99 + tax in most C stores. You know your COM% better than anyone else, so sell for what you need.

Like any product it depends on the market, I have had Red Bul in some sites and its bombed, I have it in others and I go through a half case to a case every week, and @ $2.80 a can thats not bad.

Well trying to get into schools is going to be tough. In fact a lot of schools are banning energy drinks to be sold on the premises. My high school use to sell Red Bull in our cafeteria, but now they can't any more and it has even gotten so bad that all the sodas they sell are diet. It is because of all the caffeine in them. I know it is my school, but I've been hearing schools around the country are banning caffeinated drinks.
