I am new in vending and my locations have all been purchased from existing vending routes. I was wondering if passing out flyers at locations door to door advertizing my vending services will get me more business. Has anyone tried this? Any luck?

Yes. I have relied heavily on them. But they have to look professional. Don't leave something behind that has just been thrown together. If you or someone you know is good at Powerpoint, then you're in business. Once you put something together that you think represents what you can do for your customer, take your digital file to Kinko's (or other print shop) and have them print you copies in color. Use a dark background to make it stand out.
Flyers work very well as a "leave-behind" and also as a sell-sheet when you're on the appointment. I have done a lot of telephone prospecting to get appointments and used my flyer during the appointment. However, a good, well-constructed flyer can also get you appointments on their own.
