I am starting to see problems with the machines I choose to start my business. I used a tri-vend, it doesn't have a gasketed lid, removeable containers and the gum wheel only goes to 1.5". I am noticing that candy is a lot like baking soda in that it absorbs the odors of it's environment. The red and black tri-vends(you can see on my other posts about capsules) are very loose when it comes to being air tight. They are not designed to be air tight. But I do not want to go to a single head either to get convience.
So here is what I am looking for(I saw some U-turns that kinda fit the bill 4vend and 8 vend just not sure what size gum wheel they will run out): 3 head-tri vend or larger, I would like the ability to use a 2.00" capsule so I can sell the candy bar mini's, and be able to buy parts for them on ebay. And I want a gasketed lid on top. Air conditioning alone last year in one location was dehydrating my m&m's every 60 days and turning them back into powder. I got to where I have to put just enough in my machines to get me through about 5 weeks. Shelf life, quality is my main concern because it seems to be every one of my locations concerns. Becuase they hear the complaints I don't. I track each section of the tri vend to see which candy isn't selling well and I will replace the slowest, slow moving candy is aging candy. I think the problem is, is the design of this style of machine. It might be a good machine for a lot of people I just think it is time I move on to a better caliber of gear. Any thoughts, comments, suggestions, or just general crankyness would be encouraged.
