I have 10 Genesis machines (GO-127 / GO-137 combos) (www.genesismanufacturing.com). I have had them for about 4-5 months. I bought them brand new. They have been fair machines. I have had a few parts failures and their warranty division has been very responsive. They have gotten the parts out to me very quickly (usually within 3 days).
These machines can comfortably service about 10 to 50 people. 10 people will be serviced about once a week.
These machines new are about $3500-4100. Used I would expect to see them about $2700-3300ish. If you are considering combo machines, you can get brand new combos from Multi-Max (www.multi-max.com) for about $2,300. Multi-Max can be serviced in about 5-10minutes. Genesis machines take about 30-60 minutes to service.
My machines' capacity is 140 snacks and 145 drinks.
Alternatively, you can get a good used Crane/National industrial strength machine soda machine (about 800 capacity) for about $1500-2000 and a good used Crane/National industrial grade snack machine (about 800) capacity for another $1,500-2000. So you could get 2 good used industrial machines for $4,000. They would easily service 100-200 people.
More important than the machine is the location. Find your location first, before you buy your machine, so you will know what you need.
If you don't mind my asking, what are they asking for the machines? Where are you thinking of putting them?
Hope this helps!
Sincerely,

Thanks for the response. Yes this helps quite a bit. The asking price is $2000 each but if they will fit my needs I was going to make an reduced offer. My plans for these machines were some local equipment and auto dealers with 17-28 employees plus their customer traffic. Oh yea, The machines are model G-380 244 snack, 145 drink capacity and were purchased in 2006.Solutians,

$2000 is a good price for those larger models. Even better if you can get them cheaper! It sounds like your potential locations would be a good fit too. You will maximize your profits if you are able to get those locations without having to give them a commission. All 10 of my first locations had a 10% comission. I am in the process of moving them all to locations that do not require a commission, so I can keep more money! I have moved half of them so far.
Good Luck!
