I am new to the business so sometimes I have to ask to figure out the mechanical problems. I have a Wittern 3185 that is not turning out product in one slot. When you choose that item, you can hear the motor working, but the coil does not turn. I can reach in and give it a push-start at the back and it will continue to finish that vend but will not do the next vend. Any suggestions to the cause?

Without looking at it, it's hard to tell for sure, but it sounds like your auger is not connected properly to the motor. I've had them come loose before. What you should do is look at a row that you know works and see how the auger is connected. Then, make sure the one you're having trouble with is connected just like that. If the auger is loose, or if you can pull or slide it away from the motor, then that is the problem.

I have several machines like that. Try removing the cover over the top of the motors and lift the motor, coil in question and hold the motor up higher than center, then incert the coil into the motor assy then drop motor back into the tray and secure the top cover.

You are exactly right. I was able to figure that one out a while back.
