hey there i have a question i bought a used dn 368 with no validator. so i had an extra ba30 and a 9340 coinco changer so i got them both installed i have the 9 pin jones plug with the mdb plug on the adapter. so i ran 4 dollars thru it and they all took. then i opened the door to get the dollars back, and i closed the door back and now the bills go into the validator fine but you press the button and you get no soda. its like they somehow quit talking i have power to both because i can use coins no problem. i ordered a new harness and im looking for another coin changer with a mdb harness to try it and see what happened. any suggestions?

Do you have coins in the coin tubes?

when you insert the dollar do get credit for the dollar or does it just go to the stacker ?
what happens when you press coin return ? does it return your dollar or give you four quarters?

Check the 6 pin plug with the 2 wires, thats for the credit to the changer. Also check the interface is set for correct, I think it is sw #3 on validator.

there were no coins in the changer the price was set at a dollar to test everything. after you put the dollar in you can here it go to the stacker then there is another noise like the stacker is still running, i have a maka that im gobba put in there to test out the unit. i have also ordered a couple of new harnesses for the unit to try. when you push on the coin return there was nothing. it was strange that it worked for a couple of times and just quit.

I have run into this problem two times in the last month for some reason. What it sounds like is your coin mech is not working. From what I gather, your bill validator has to run through the coin mech to show the credit. If this is the case then check the power to your coin mech and see if you can dispense coins from it. If you can't run coins to get credit or your power isn't reaching the coin mech, you have to see if the power cable is loose, so unplug the machine and pull out and check the connection. Plug it back in to see if it works, if it doesn't work then your coin mech is bad.

I agree with C&J. You have to make sure the coin mech is taking coins and giving change before you tackle the bill validator.

ok well i bought a rebuilt coin mech on ebay and placed it in the machine and filled it with a few coins, and hooked the validator up to it. i was able to buy soda with change but it still wouldnt give sodas with bills. i hooked up the ba30 with the 9 pin adapter and hooed to the coin mech. when you put a bill in it sounded lilke it was cycling the bill twice. its strange because i pulled the ba30 out of a working machine. so i have a old maka that im gonna try to hook up to the coin mech and see if that is the problem. any other suggestions?
