I'm new here and would greatly appreciate any advice on how to get my machines placed. We have about 20 U-turn 4-selection machines that we need to place.

Thanks alot!

Go around to different businesses in person. Ask to speak with the head honcho. If you are giving a percent to charity, tell them that and ask if they will let you place a machine to help support the charity. If you are doing commission, tell them what percent you give them of your net or gross. Get business cards made and always cary pictures of your machines to show people. Good luck!

Finding locations yourself is really not that hard to do. You are not selling anything; you are just offering an easy way for the owner or company to make some extra money without any work or worry. Start with business people you know and the businesses you frequent. Next, focus on the area or street you like and visit locations you think would will be good for your machines. You will find that after placing the first few machines it only gets easier!

Ask for the manager or owner of the business and begin telling them that you are not selling anything. Let them know that this vending machine is only going to take up an approx. 18"x18" piece of floor space in their establishment. Then tell them about the opportunities and benefits that the machine can serve, such as a snack for their customers or employees. Mention that the money from the machine can be used for anything from a vacation fund for the owner, to paying for items like business cards, supplies, their electric bill, and nowadays, gas!

Let them know you will pay them their percentage at the same time you service the machine and they are welcome to watch you while you do this. (The percentage you pay should run from 10% or more Depending on the location). Or, if you use a charity, let them know that the part of the proceeds will go to that charity. We recommend working with a local charity that your community can identify with.

Show them a picture and let them see the machine and tell them they can pick the color of machine and even the candy that fills it up. Tell them how soon you can put it in their location and ask if it will be ok.

Once you secure the location and fill the machine up with product, give the manager/employees a couple quarters each so that they can use the machine and get into the habit of putting quarters into your machine and see how easily it works.

Make sure to put a decal or card with your name and number on the back of the machine. Point it out to the staff and tell them to call when the product gets low or for any issue.

I hope this gives you some insight into placing your machines and please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.

Hi Roxanne,

The cheapest and probably easiest way is to either call the business or see the owner in person. I have tried sending flyers and emails and this doesn't work.

Finding any location that will underperform and cause you nothing but headaches is easy.

Finding GOOD locations takes some skill and experience.

Over time, you will know which location will do well or not...you can tell from your existing vending locations.

There is some information that you might find helpful on my website.

Where to start looking for vending locations

How to contact vending locations

Marketing for vending locations

Hope this information helps,

Hi

My name is Lance and I been in business since 2006 and I only use locators that do not take any up front fees and they are out there I just had to look hard for them put here are 2 that I have used and it worked out very well. www.AtlanticVendingGroup.com and the other is 1st class placement services you can google the last one to get the website. I only use them because they do not charge you any money. in this businesss I tell vendors try to do it yourself or get a locator that is willing to do the work before they are paid.
