Hospitals are great accounts.
I have 2 small rural hospitals in Louisiana.
One is snack only and does about $200 per week.
The other is snack, Pepsi, and Coke and does about $550 per week.

Large hospitals can be demanding, and highly competitive but should also be highly rewarding.

Is this a small or large hospital?

The 2 hospitals that I service have 150-170 employees.

The location of the machines in the hospital will have a lot to do with the volume of sales.

In one of the hospitals I moved the snack machine from the basement next to the cafeteria to the main floor where everybody walks right past it, and sales doubled immediately.

Try to put it near the main entrance and/or the ER. Employees will know where it is and go to wherever it is, patients and their families will be your biggest customers. Put it where they can see it and they will buy.

We have one with 17 machines. We only have the snakc/frozen/coffee but plan to get the coke soon which is another 23 machines. This is over many buldings though from billing, rehab centers, surgical, and ER. We make way more then most accounts did. We did a comparison of these 17 against our other 35 best machines and these made more. We got kind of lucky getting this account on timing, but we offered them everything from remote, credit card, and bill recyclers.

Have you ever considered snack tower vending??? they are electric free and offer a small commission to the site, they are one of the best vending dispensers in europe at the moment outside electric vending. please feel free to look at our website www.continentalsnacks.co.uk and see if it can dovetail into your existing business. If there is any interest please call a chap called Kris on +00441795476508(uk std) and he is the man to explain more about this type of vending.

No body apparently does this type of vending in any state of the US at this present time.

Hope this may help if interested.

I hope you moved forward with the hospitals. You would want to land these not only for the cashflow, but you can also use this as a namedrop when trying to service another hospital. For instance, "Hey we service ABC hospital and they are extremely happy. Call Michelle at the front desk and she'l tell you her experience with us." I did that many times and I still do it at Revolution Vending

Id love to get a hopital, those guys will empty a machine in a week. I think a college would be good too. When I was in welding school those machines took alot of my money.
