Problem is that when I put money in for it to vend, it will not vend properly at all times, for example, If i choose the same selection 4 times by putting money in, I will only get the soda can 3 times or so. When I opened the machine door and looked up at the ramp where the soda rolls, I can see the can being stuck, if i stick my hand in there, I can pull the can out. (if someone shakes machine really hard, they soda will drop)
This machine has four narrow columns in the middle (which is the one where problems are caused). It seems like it use to vend bottles possibly, how do i fix this to let it vend cans properly without getting stuck?
I looked at this Dixie Narco Publication as something to help me, but could not understand it much.

What is meant by CAM Setting #3 or 2 Notches and hole location 20.
I am very confused and frustrated, can someone please help me? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Sounds like the cam setting is not correct. The cam is a round disc at the front of the motor which determines how the cans are delivered. I had a similar situation with one and the cam setting was wrong. Check the inner door for a table which shows the correct cam settings for how and what you are loading the machine with. (bottles vs cans and how many deep)

Will the 440 go 4 deep on cans? I had a similar problem with the vendo V-max. If you set them up for four deep it seems the fourth or back one hangs up. we converted all ours back to three deep no problem. It sounds like to me it was set up for four deep. No, the 440 does not go four deep on cans. It goes only two deep. I tried to look at the door for the cam/shimming settings but was unable to read it properly due to an old machine. However, this is okay. What i did for now is make my selections on the wide columns so I do not need to use the narrow columns. Another problem with the machine is that there is a rubber pipe on the bottom when you open the door and the pipe seems to be leaking water. It seems as if the pipe is suppose to be placed somewhere or inserted somewhere. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Okay I will take a stab at this. I believe that the rubber pipe or hose is the drain hose for the evaparator deck. It should be draining into a pan to collect the water. If there is no pan you need to get one. Then go to the dollar store and buy a couple sponges and put them in the pan. This will soak up the water and allow it to evaporate. If the hose or pipe is hanging straight down you need to put a loop in the hose. I believe the reason you have so much water is that hot air from the compressor is travling up the hose and causing condensation. Putting a loop in the hose will cause water to sit in the hose at the loop and keep warm air from rising up the hose. After you take care of this and you still have alot of water you need to look at the delivery door and the door seals. No, the 440 does not go four deep on cans. It goes only two deep. Snack dude,
thank you for your response, I have been trying to do all digging and researching and trying to find out the root cause of this leak...
i cleaned the bottom fan with a vacuum cleaner and got a lot of dirt out, do i need to clean the compressor to stop this leak? It is hard to access the compressor as it is all the way in the back and i can not see much or put my arms around anything or anywhere to clean it...
I placed a tray to collect the water on the bottom, in two days, the tray did get filled with water. However, once the tray got filled all the way (with the pipe leading to the tray), the water started staying on the evaporator deck. I emptied out the tray and i was expecting all the water from the evaporaotr deck to rush down through the pipe, but it did not come down so I had to blow air into the pipe and all the dust and debris came out, and water went down properly.
I am not certain where the water is coming from, but there is two round metal bars on top (near evaporation deck) that has water dripping down and the pipe is cold.
Any help anyone can provide me would be great...
