Believe it or not $50 is a good price if you are getting results. You can also try http://www.affirmativelocating.com/. He charges only $25 but remember, you get what you pay for. Thats all I will say about that. Your best bet is to utilize the FREE locating company and locate them yourself. Once you get past the first few no's they wont hurt that much. Remember what I told you about always talking up your business. It works. Also try utilizing the referral method like I do. Offer people $30 or so to find places for you. Tell them payment will be made after your machine is onsite for 30 days. That way your first months take should cover the cost of the referral. I have found that the referral method works quite well because people see it as a part time work at home opportunity. If you get about 5 people willing to look for locations for you you'll be doing fine.

That is another great idea for a way to get locations! Instead of sponsoring a national charity, support a local one and have volunteers for said charity work to secure locations in return for a percentage of sales or flat rate donation per location. What a great concept. I will ponder that one more myself.

You know, I once knew an operator who got some of his best locations by just walking in and dropping it off! He never talked to anyone
He did this in chains that already had other machines as well as public buildings like court houses. It's kinda risky; your machine may disappear.
Yet, he had great results and as far as I know never had any real problems from doing so.
If anyone tries this, let us know how it goes!

Thats interesting Eric. I must confess it is something I have thought about but never done.
I attempted to do something similar called the "sneaky snake." That is what Ronnie Talent called it anyway. The only difference was I asked to talk to the manager and asked him where he would like me to place the machine. He got nervous and started calling district, haha, so that didn't work.

Sounds like something that might go over well at a smaller, family owned business.

I have a locator that is cheaper. PLUS, you only get what I call "Prime Locations." I'm on the prime location package and I pay less than $50. These locations generate on average $20 a month. It's a great deal. Shoot me an email if you're interested. robertnpatterson@gmail.com

I like the idea of the "Free Locating Service" above.

That is CLASSIC!!!!! I love that!!!! If I get desperate enough I'll do that myself. Here's an idea How about just carrying a machine around with you while out running errands or shopping. Just set it in the store entrance and do your business and pick it up on the way out... HA HA!
But seriously That is great. I am contemplating that myself now...........
