I will get delivery of 20 triple bulk candy machines. I will start by stocking MM peanuts,
Skittles, and Reese's pieces. I will buy my candy from Sam's Club at the following prices:

MM peanuts, $9.14 per 56 oz bag
Skittles, 5.88 per 54 oz bag
Reese's 5.73 per 44 oz bag

My question is how many ounces or pieces of each should I vend per .25 to make a
decent profit? I would appreciate any feedback from those of you are experienced.

Thanks..........

People have tons more experience at this then me so check back for their answers. I'm a math person and I have a fairly accurate scale. The M&Ms are most expensive so that will be my example. At those prices it is $0.16 per ounce. You probably want to give out between $0.10 and $0.12 cents worth of product or less per quarter you take in. M&Ms your margin will be lower since they are so pricey, but get a digital postal scale and adjust your vend so you are giving out around 0.8 ounces per vend or so. If that is only 3 M&Ms you may want to be more generous and just know you won't make much money with the M&Ms.

You can give out more of the cheaper items. Just do similar math and then look at how much you are giving out to decide if it is worth it for the customers or not. I went to a M&M vending machine once as a customer and got 3 M&Ms out and I didn't go back.

This is my first post here but I can help you out.

Typically you try to vend as close as to .5oz per quater.

So basically if you have a 56oz bag of candy divide by 2 (56/2=28) $28 would be your gross sales $28-(what ever the candy cost)= Profit

Hope I helped lets see if this forum is helpful to me :)

P.S I forgot lose the M&Ms they are very exensive replace with gumballs or chiclets
