I have a DN5000 bottle drop that I inherited. Every week I find out from the customers that different lanes will give a "sold out" message even though the lane is loaded with product. I seem to be able to fix the problem by test vending the lane. Unfortunately there's no way of knowing which lanes are messing up until you put money in and try the selection. Has anyone ever seen this problem and is there a way to correct it without test vending all 45 lanes? Thanks for any help you guys out there have.

lou....its been a while but i have seen this.......the reason it works after you open the door and test it,is you are unkowingly resetting the capacity for that column.......i dont have a manual, but if you do it will tell you how to increase the capacity of each column so it wont lock out before all product is gone......example if the column is 20 oz bottles and holds 8 at maximum capacity, you need to go into mode and tell the board that that selection has 8.......every time you open the door from that point on, it will reset to 8....Hi group,

I just looked at the manual and saw the section you're referring to. can't wait to go back next week and check those settings. by the way, if you need the manual, I have it in pdf format. thanks again.

I think that djpvending is correct, but just in case, I had the same problem and thought djpvending solution was the fix but found that the interface board (located on the back wall of the service cabinet under metal box, has harnesses for all shelves connected to it) had a bad capacitor on it. If this is the problem it should be obivious. There is a large capacitor mounted on the board, you will be looking at the top of the capacitor when you remove the metal box cover, and if it is bad the top of the capacitor will be domed or buldging out. It should be flat on top. This indicates that the capacitor can not hold a charge. It may be able to hold a charge for one or two vends, enough to reset the selections, but under frequent vends it cant recharge fast enough and will fail to fire the seliniods. The ones that fail to fire will be locked out on a sold out condition. Hope this isn't the problem but thought I would give you another thing to look at.
