After reading a number of the posts, I have to commend the frankness of the posters.
Now I saw an ad being published, and wanted to know if this sounds overpriced ?
The guy is selling a route+3machines for $8500.
There are around 90 employees at this site;
3 machines in the lunch room- Snack machine, Food machine and a Combo machine Been there for about 6 months.One of machines has bill changer. The sales total is approximately 200 weekly or 800 monthly. No contract , no commission.
Provided his paperwork can prove he gets $800/month , i'm thinking this should be decent gross/month. please comment on this route/offer.
thanks.

Buying existing accounts with no type of contract can be a risky proposition. I have seen even the big vending companies loose accounts like this in less than 90 days after buying. I know first hand because I have taken them from them.
In situations like this I would only buy this based on equipment value. If you were talking 30k or more a year in revenue that would be a different story. If I were you I would walk away unless the value of the machines are at or over what you are paying. Make sure you are looking at fair market value on the machines. Just because you saw the same machine for $5k (or whatever) does not mean it is actually worth that. That is also only if you could use the equipment. Equipment is cheap right now and people are willing to deal to sell.

He is right, they probably are Planet Antares, and no matter what condition they are in, I would never pay that price for them. The location is too small, the income is too low, and the machines and changer are worth maybe $1000 altogether. It would take years to pay that off. And another vending company could come along at any time and offer to put in full sized snack, soda, and food machines, which would all be way ahead of those, and much more easy to use by the employees. Its happened where I live. My advice is, save your money and buy full size snack and soda machines used, off location, and place them yourself. Never overpay for machines.
