I bought a "Change Time" dollar bill changer and I'm not exactly sure how to use it. When I plug it in the lights flash on the dollar bill validator, but if you try to insert a dollar, it won't accept it. I want it to give out 4 quarters, so I loaded it with all quarters, but it wouldn't take my dollar, so I put in a few dimes and nickles and got the same result. I don't see any buttons at all to be able to program it or anything.
So I guess my question is, what do the lights mean and how do I get this thing up and running? I looked for a manual to try and figure it out on my own, but I didn't have any luck locating one.

great.. it would be my luck that it doesn't work at all. Any brands that you would suggest? The only other affordable ones I've come across are the ones attached to the Antares combo machines. I figure those aren't too great either.

Don't give up on it yet. Does it pull the bill part way in and reject it? If so the validator is probably bad. Get the make and model number off it and do a ebay search for it. How much did you pay for it and how old is it? I think you can get a good validator for around 50 bucks or have yours rebuilt.

One listed on ebay say flashing lites when sold-out. Check switch on bottom of one of the change tubes and make sure lever arm is inside tube against coin. Check switch with ohm meter if you have one.
