How long will candy last in a bulk machine before it goes bad? I know that a lot of candy doesn't expire for like two years if it's still in the package, but i was just wondering about how long until it starts getting stale if it's in a machine. Or does it just depend on the type of candy?

Hot Tamales and Mike Ikes seem the worst ones, like a couple months. If the machines are in a warm environment, all candies duration is shortened. Like A month or so.
These small businesses turn off the ac on the weekends in the summer and my machines become crock pots. My best locations are climate controlled 24/7, at least for product lasting the longest.

Your best bet is try to guesstimate how much candy will be used in a month and add just a little more than that; especially based on the time of year, environment, and machines. I rarely top a machine off unless I know it's a location that goes through the product like crazy.
