Hi Guys,

I have a "Jammed" single Column on my D/N 320 soda machine (it's my "learn to fix yourself" machine, not on location). I tried to get it free with a long screw driver but, N/G, I can see the "Paddle" hitting the side of the column. What's the best way to fix it ?

Thank-You !

Matt

I don't know what you mean by paddle hitting the side. But if it is a mechanical bind with something stuck in the column you will need to release the pressure off of whatever is jammed. Try this:

Unplug the machine
remove the motor cover
locate the motor for the jammed column
while hold the switches away from the cam of the motor with a screwdriver, press down on the motor break.

The motor should spin backwards and release the pressure on whatever is jammed.

Let's see if this helps. I am traveling today so I have limited access.

Hold down the switch levers (with a screwdriver) at the red marker to push them away from the cam. You are doing this because the motor may spin backwards and if the switch levers are not pushed in they can get caught by the cam and get all twisted up.

While holding the switch levers down, push up on the brake (yellow marker). This will release the motor and allow it to spin freely.

If something is jammed it may spin backwards just enough to remove whatever is stuck.

I'm not sure what your calling a paddle either. The single column should be a half pipe trough. If there has ever been a can jammed in it, It will get twisted and rub or hang on the sides. You will need to replace or straighten the trough.

Yes, it's the "Half Pipe" (sorry for the poor description), THANK-YOU for your help.
