Hi,

I have to paint a wall that the unit is plugged into, my plan is to unplug the soda machine for 15 minutes, paint the wall, then plug the machine back into the electrical outlet. Do I need to do anything else, or is there any pre-caution that I should take before doing this ? Anything need to be re-set or can I just "Plug and Go" ?

Thank-You

Matt

You should be fine. 15 minutes is long enough for the compressor to sit before restarting.

is it not adviseable to unplug the machine for short periods of time? i unplug them to get out a jammed can usually takes 5mins or ,should i leave it sitting longer before plugging it back in? is there a better way to cut power to the vend motors snd not the compressor?

thanks

5 mins. is fine you just want to leave it off long enough for the compressor to equlize pressure. But if need be there is a black round plug bottom left corner with door open that disconnects control power (right where the compressor plugs in). Just a thought.

oh i thought that just cuts power to the door, it cuts power to the vend motors too?

Is there a switch to turn the lights off on the display ? How often should the compressor kick on ?

Yes, It disconnects power to the motors and lights. There is always exceptions to everything. You should always handle every circuit as though it is hot and should always check with a meter. On dixie- narcos they switch the neutrals on the motors which always leaves a hot wire. You should always when in doubt unplug the machine at the wall. Sometimes you can't get to it when the machine is full so you can disconnect contriol power at the round plug. The compressor you can unplug there but the t-stat will always be hot unless you unplug machine. Just a thought.

The round plug will disconnect power to lights. As for how long the compressor will run and/or stay off is dependant on lots of varying conditions. The only important issue is that the compressor stays off long enough that it doesn't short cycle. (appx 5 min.) Ideally if you get 10-15 min your doing good. Newer machines should get better times. Just a thought.
