I have an older coke machine lined up I am headed to check out either later today or tomorrow. It is currently set up for $0.65, is the pricing on these easy to change, same as with a snack machine?

If it just an older single price vendor. The changer will have a set of price setting dip switches. They will starting from the left to the right (turned on “up”) be 5/10/20/40/80/160/$3.20 and any combination of “UP” turned on switches to reach the desired selling price. Some older single price changers may not be capable of connecting a validator to.

ok heres how to change the price...

heres a mech as you might see it in a machine (of course this isnt in a machine its a spare one i have at home), ive labeled some of the parts to give you an overview . this is a coinco mech i picked it because the switches were labeled. most mechs do not have labeled switches but they will follow the same pattern.

theres 2 plastic clips at the top of the mech on the side, you want to push both of these up while pulling the acceptor (front piece ) towards you and dwon, (see next image for better view)

this is a little tricky to show and hold the camera, but basically once you have both clips pulled up you will pull the front piece (ive heard it called the" flight deck"..) toward you and down, once the clips are up, pull forward on th ereturn lever or some other piece it will come down easily.

pulling down the front piece reveals the price switches and option switches

here you can see the pricing switches and option switches, the pricing switches are labeled, most single price mechs generally follow the same order even if the switches are not labeled. if there are more switches it just means it can go to a higher price.

if the mech is in a machine, theres generally no need to mess with the option switches, if its not you should refer to the manual to find out what they do

now to set the price, just flip the switches "on" in the combination of the price you want. for example for 75 cents you will want to turn on switches 1,2,3,4 and keep the other price switches (5 & 6 ) in the off position.

ive included some pics of other mechs to show you the difference.

mars trc6800, another common mech , very reliable one ..you can see the price switches are not labeled but they go in the
same order, there are just more switches because the price can be set higher than the coinco

older coinco model without labels or option switches

Dogcow thank you so much.

RJT, you are absolutely right, he has been kind enough to pm back and forth with me and has given me many pointers and suggestions, I feel like I have a friend in him.

He is a perfect example of what the world was when I was growing up, people helping people.

Wonderful to know that humanity and kindness does still exist!

Thanks so much Dogcow!!!!!
