I like the sales pitch of a machine that holds more and provides more $/fill

Although I'm not familiar with Lewis or Uspin (unless you are referring to UTurns?) Keep in mind that holding more may not always be a good thing. Unless you have a great location, holding more means more unsold product resulting in more spoilage.

Also, more money per fill can seem like an attractive selling point but the amount of product that a machine holds has little to do with the amount of income you can generate in a months time. It will not make the product sell faster and your initial product costs will be greater. Not to mention the cost of spoilage if its not at a hot location.

Unless you have a great location where you know you will sell at least 3/4 the capacity in 30 days then a high cap machine is just not worth it. Test your locations using smaller cap machines first. If you are finding it difficult to keep product in the machine for 30 days then consider a larger machine. It is alot more cost effective to jump up than to make that initial investment in dead stock. Also, never fill any machine more than 3/4 full at any time and never add product until 1/8 full. This will help your bottom line by cutting spoilage.

Thanks for the reply. I responded to your other post, so forgive me for the redondency. This is a lot to think about.

I will say one thing about U-Turns. Thay suck, suck, suck. Steer away from them. Plastic coin mechs: BREAK. 4 or 8 or 2 heads? That is overkill. Try a double head.

I agree...Uspins are not worth the coin. I personally use double heads (Seaga Millenias).

Lee,

Hold on. You use seagas? Thay are not the best either. I had nothing but trouble out of the few I had. Like a coin mech breaking, and vending free product. Problem after Problem with thoes! I use a spin off of thoes, GMW. No problems!

Lee,

There is nothing wrong with the Seaga singles. They make up about 85% of my fleet and I have no more problems with them than I do with any other machine.
