Just got some DN 501Es. I bought them set mostly for cans. I would like to convert one more selection in each for Gatorade 20 oz bottles. I have the bottle shims to replace the can shims, but I cannot figure out how to remove the can shims. They loosen and come undone on the end of the shim closest to the door, but do not come undone on the back end.
Any tips?

Figured it out. In the middle of the test vend I waited until the cradle that holds the sodas was half way, sort of like a half moon, then I unplugged the motor so that it stuck in that position momentarily then freed the shim with no problem.
