Hello all,
I'm new to the vending world, i just picked up a DC-145-5 and could not find any information on it, but anyways. I cleaned it up replaced the main power cord (due to dry rot) and fired her up.
everything seems to be working so far, but my buttons are in rough shape, i'm looking for new ones now.
I'm not sure how to remove the old ones, can someone shed some light on this topic? and if you know where i can find some new ones that would be great also.

I'm not sure what a DC-145-5 is (a small 5 seat airplane?)Just kidding. I will guess its a small 5 select 145 can pop machine? You said the buttons are in bad shape? If they are yellowed or foggy you can usually buff them out with a shop rag and car wax compound. Just a thought

Call the Vending Center 205-426-2216, ask for parts, have your model # ready, and order your buttons, they are cheap, you will spend more on supplies trying to repair, or clean them up.

LOL If it's a Dixie Narco I'm pretty sure it looks like that ..... JK. Post a pic so that we can see what you have. If you have a newer model then there may only be a single switch then you'll have to use the control board to test vend. Just a thought.

Ok..... You got me! I've been to two county fairs and a goat roping and don't recall seeing that! Best I can tell its a serpentine style machine, The front looks like an older 5 select bottle machine. There must be can modules at the bottom. There should be some kind of release on the solenoid to manually eject the cans. I can't tell you, Maybe someone else has seen that machine. All else fails load the machine with the right product and vend the wrong ones out. Just a thought.

You will either have a solenoid that energizes to release product or a helix on a motor that drives for delivery. The solenoid version is generally easier to remove product from, you just need to locate the 'T' shaped plunger ande manually press it for a vend. The helix style usually involves pulling a pin or lever to release the vend mechanism this will allow product to free flow out of the column. Be careful if you try this with helix version, sodas will fly out like mad. I have not seen a Dixie serpentine, but have worked on numerous other types and those are the only two types of vending mechanisms I have seen in those.
