SOOOO i got a good one for you guys. I have a National 146 snack machine which reads "coins only" on display after it powers up. Even though it says coins only, it does not accept coins. I have switched out the entire control board and harness leading to the money systems. I have switched out the smaller money board as well. Same thing. You can hear the validator power up and everything. The door switch works, and i can even use menu functions including set the price and test vend. Any ideas anyone?
P.S. The coin mech is FULL of change so that would not be the issue =D

A 146 will read coins only if it is jammed or has a bad signal coming from it. You didn't say you changed the coin mech out or not.

Oops i forgot to mention that, yes i did change to coin mech to another 12 pin that worked just fine in another machine. Could it be a missing harness?

Is it programmed for the right mech? Check in "Mach con" for dummy mech. Do the payouts work? (can you payout coins manually). All the coinmech interface board does is convert 110ac to dc. Sorry but I suck at model #'s there may be a power supply mounted right side under control board check circuit breaker. Older style (larger control board there is a fuse mounted next to transformer) But if its blown you won't have power to the control board. Check the door switch if its broke or wire come off it won't go into sales mode. Just a thought.Oops i forgot to mention that, yes i did change to coin mech to another 12 pin that worked just fine in another machine. Could it be a missing harness?
