Hello everyone. I am very new to the vending world and hope someone out there can help me with a problem I'm having with a DN 276 machine. When I purchased the machine, it was equipped with a Mars 5800D changer (I believe); and there was no bill validator. At first everything worked well, then the changer started rejecting quarters, so I went ahead and purchased a Coinco 3341S changer and a Coinco BA30B validator. The validator works fine, accepts dollars and gives the correct change, but this changer would only accept change sporadically; mostly quarters and rarely dimes and nickels... so I got yet another 3341S changer that does the same thing. I also replaced the relay cube, it made no difference. Before I bought the machine it had sat up, unused, for two years. The only work I have done to it was to replace the ballast for the florescent lights and install a new thermostat (the old one went bad and froze my drink cans solid.. didn't think a can could swell like that)! Any ideas???

The Coinco 3340-3341-S single price coin changers are know to have coin acceptance problems, mostly dimes and nickels. Make sure the coin path is clean. There are several things that you can do to effect the coin acceptance, but the most basic thing is to clear the memory (this is the portion of the software that stores the calibration of coins. After you clear the memory it will retore to factory specifications) Set all of the price switches to the “OFF” position. With the power turned on press the coin return lever down 20 times, reset the price and try to see if it accepts all coins. If this does not work please contact me and I can explain how you can tune and calibrate this coin changer. The tuning of the 3340-S series can be done.
Replacement options are a Coinco 9360-S or Mars TRC-6800H that can be purchase with a warranty for $35.00
