Anyway I trying to figure out what goes best where?
should you only keep a few items to minimize your inventory? if so what kinds?
car repair-?
resturant-?
Office area-?
Any thoughts
getting discouraged, but i am a dreamer and think it could do well

Haha, from one fellow dreamer to another. Buddy check out my blog http://candyman007.blogspot.com You will find some interesting stuff I promise. I just started a month ago. I have now 30 machines and 23 located! haha, ok so candy. SAMS. Sams has gumballs and they come out to 2 cents each with tax. They also have RUNTS for $5.83 per 5LB bag and M&M Peanuts for $7.89 per 54oz bag. Runts cost about 5 cents per vent, M&M Peanuts about 8 cents, and obviously gumballs cost 2 cents per vend.
$55 is too much for a locator man. I just started using a locator and I have a much better deal. Shoot me an email robertnpatterson@gmail.com and I'll help you out. Shew $55. I mean that is the going rate I guess but it's too much for me! Trust me though, I just started pulling money out of my candy machines and wow, that is exciting!
OK, on locating. If you want to do it yourself you have to get used to the No's. On my blog you will see my posts when I was discouraged. It is damn hard to keep going when people tell you No, No, No! Probably it took me a full week of going place to place to get the No's not bothering me as much. And still they bring you down some. It's a part of business get used to it. That's what one of my blog readers told me, AND I haven't looked back. Don't give up man you got it! I have been doing this a month and I have 23 machines already! I just got a 7k loan to buy more machines, I'm going crazy over here! Come read and comment, well fix you up.

Absolutley! You will appreciate this when you grow. Keep your inventory selection down to no more than 5. Don't go crazy with all the fun, cool candy items out there like "baby tears", "dog bonz" and stuff like that.
Your core items will depend on what location you are in but mine are as follows....
All locations get Gumballs and Runts, Period. Gumballs have a high profit margin and runts are a great seller in my area. Your area may be different. If a location does not want gum, some dont, I just replace them with peanut M&M's.
Gum (both gumballs and a sugarfree option), peanut M&M's and runts are my core items. I do keep Mike and Ikes and Skittles on hand for variety but thats it. Keep it simple! Once you have several hundred machines out there it makes it so much easier to keep track of.

Car repair - peanut M&M's, hearty snack for people who may have missed their lunch due to car troubles. Also great for the mechanics!
Restaurant - Mint gum or gumballs if they allow it. Great to freshen breath after that big meal. If they dont allow gum try something sweet and fruity. Think "desert".
Office area - Mike and Ikes or similar. Make sure its something that can be brought to a desk and it's neat and will not cause sticky fingers. Not good for computer keyboards.

Skittles, Mike and Ike's, Cashews, Hot Tamales, M&M's, Reese's Pieces, and Runts all sell well.
I use all of them, so pick 1 or 2 or even 3, and give them a whirl.
