My Merlin IV soda vending machine which is equipped with a BA30B bill validator, and change machine of unknown model (Will update tomorrow if I go to mess with the machine more) is giving incorrect change when given two $1 bills. The coin mechanism has been set to vend at $1.25, however when given two $1 bills the coin mechanism consistently dispenses $0.25. The machine works fine when exact change is given in quarters.

Does it pay out any coins? If you put in $.40 and then a dollar to have a credit of $1.40 will it pay back the nickles and dimes? Try to find this out to see if no coins payout, only 5c or 10c. of if you are just having problems with quarters....

We fixed the problem. The change mechanism was gummed up. We just cleaned it out a bit and it works fine now.
