I already have a bunch of vendstars that i need to place so sticking with all triples seems like it might be the way to go.
Why? Aside from my obvious (and much verbalized) disdain for triples, I am not understanding why you would consider getting more simply because it is what you already have. If someone were running singles and doubles It would make sense to stick with the same style/manufacturer for simplicity's sake. I would be much easier to swap out product or interchange working parts for broken parts or add heads to an existing rack etc, etc. The only benefit to buying more triples because you already have triples is for looks. To have an entire fleet of machines that look like each other so when someone sees a machine of yours they can say "Oh that's so-and-so's machine." But thats not really the case here because the new machines you are considering are not Vendstars.
I don't mean to sound harsh but do yourself a favor and buy singles. Yes they are more expensive but the versatility alone is worth it. You need to be able to adapt to the location you want to place in. You never know what type of machine will work where. If all you have are triples then you are limiting yourself.
I can get the 3 heads for about a third less the I can buy doubles for.
Just because you can get a gallon of peanut butter at Sams Club for $2 cheaper than a quart costs at the grocery store, are you really going to need a whole gallon?

Probably, I really like peanut butter. I'll be honest, I like the branding idea, having all the same machines. But I have personally rarely ever notice bulk vending machines. I doubt I would ever realize the same guy had a bunch out on the town.
GO WITH THE SINGLES/DOUBLES. They are the only way to go. You pay more, but you get more. You can see the candy from every angle. And you can adapt to your location. They are also built better. But don't listen to me, Listen to Caserri. He has 600+ single/doubles.

I feel the third chamber is for gumballs or tab gum, the cost on them is so low its a no brainer. A few places do not want gum but thats ok.
Peanut mms are the main items, but might shift to regular mms with resses pieces and the gum. My sams do not carry Runts, so trying to avoid the ebay purchases for them.
Another point, my states annual sticker is $15.00 for machines with 2-5 mechs, so I would not save any with doubles.
Just a few thoughts.

Ouch! I pay only $3.00 annually for unlimited mechs. What state do you reside?
I guess im from another planet, all my machines are triples with a few Dentyne Ice singles. I see your point with the single/doubles but not enough to sell all mine or buy different machines.
I wouldn't consider selling what you already have but I would start adding single and double head machines to the mix. If you haven't yet come across a location where only a single would be profitable, your very lucky. I just like being prepared for any locations needs. It just makes sense.

Are there any markings on the GMW machines? Like on the mech or door?
