I am new to the 20 OZ bottle scene. I just installed a 6 bottle model and it worked great for a week now when a bottle vends the "stack" does not fall to load the next bottle hence a misvend - any ideas

Try checking the column to see if they are stuck. I vend Deer Park water out of some of my machines, and the bottles are squishy. I used to stack the column to the top, but the total weight would cause them to plug the column at the bottom. Where the column narrowed, the bottom three would vend out leaving those on top stuck. I found that with Deer Park, I can only stack up to 15 and I'm okay. Any more than that and they stick.

However, with 20-oz CSDs (carbonated soft drinks), the bottles are hard and do not jam nearly so easily, if at all. I have never had a 20-oz CSD jam in any of my Wittern machines.

Sounds like you hit the nail on the head. It is a Aqua fina stack that is giving me grief I will take a look this afternoon,

Thanks

Both Dasani (Coke) and Aquafina (Pepsi) supposedly pack - nitrogen - or something - to puff up their bottled water in order to keep them from jamming (Deer Park does not do this). If you compare a bottle of Dasani or Aquafina to a bottle of Deer Park, you will notice that they are much harder. However, that doesn't mean that they still don't jam. I've not had it happen yet with either Aquafina or Dasani, but there's always a chance.

Good luck.

I have been using Arrowhead in my machines (Dixie Narco 368). I have discovered that it jams after a few vends. The bottles become soft. I now only fill the column half way. This relieves some of the pressure due to weight. I might have to look into other brands of bottled water that do not get soft.
