I just bought out another local vendor that uses all coinco changers. When we completed the transaction he took about 80% of the change from the changers (by holding the coin dispense button). I came back and filled the changers back up, but the quarters stay at the same level since the deal was completed. The nickels and dimes stayed full, but the quarters will dump into the change bin until the changer is back to the same level (about 10-15 quarters). I thought about the HI/Low setting, but I know that they working right when I bought them. Any thoughts.

Thanks

JD

not knowing the changer model nor the machine model they are on.... i may suggest that a lot of the newer equipment requires a "tube fill"... check the manual on the equipment piece and it should show you how to do it... basically by going into machine mode and scrolling totube fill you then feed your change thru the "head of the changer" (not the tubes) until you get to the level you desire.. then exiting mode to standby/ready. from then on if everything is working properly it should refill to your prescribed level...

Jeremiah, if the quarters run out - or at least if they get low enough that the bill validator disables - then it would seem like the float sensor may be bad in the quarter tube. I had this problem recently, and it was a bad float sensor.

Before sending it off for repair, you may want to pull the front of the coin tube cover off and clean the sensors good. Sometimes over time the dirt from the coins will cover the sensors with a film of dirt and give the impression of a full tube. It fixes the problem more times than not and doesn't cost anything. Its worth a try and Good luck.
