I set it to 5 cents, but still didn't work. So I made some jumper wires and tried it that way and it works just fine. Any harm in leaving them hooked in all the time so it's just a free vend?

It stays pulled in. It only releases if I unplug the machine.

It will actually continue to take money no matter how much you put in, and doesn't return any if you hit the lever.
