In Topic: Place to buy 45mm Bouncy Balls Cheap?

29 July 2012 - 03:12 PM

If you go to any trade shows like IAPPA or NBVA or the upcoming ASD in las vegas on the 12th you can get free shipping from Rinco.. I normally wait to one of the trade shows the show at to buy all my bouncy balls..

They are direct importer and a lot of the guys you find on the web actually buy from them and resale..they will send you free catalog.

In Topic: Gumball Machine Brands? Any suggestions

29 July 2012 - 03:06 PM

every major vending operator in the country uses the brands i mentioned,, that represents about 90% of all bulk vendors in operation if i had to guess..

No major operator buys the import machines as there is no need to buy overpriced machines from a biz op.

the only people that purchase the other models are normally people that are new to the business and are sold a "package" or a "business opportunity" and since they don't know any better they normally are disappointed with the results of the collections from bulk machines..

Just ask where it was manufactured,,if they where from any other country than US (or canada as beaver is a good machine) then its probably not a good machine.. and why pay premium price for a chinese made machine?? isn't cheap slave labor in china supposed to bring the consumer cheaper prices?? then why are the american made Oak, A&A, and Northwestern the same or cheaper price..because some biz op guy is raking in the markup..

I have located the alco-buddy with LCD looked pretty sweet. There is another company on the west coast, alco-checkpoint which also looked reasonable. I just wanted to get a feel on how people use the device and how they handled the traffic. Thanks for the response! Do you know if the bars found them to be helpful? The fire issue is odd, because they only push 12v of electricity. Were some going up in flames due to bad design? Oh, nevermind you meant the location created a fire issue because of the crowd? Lol I think that is where you were going.

I wonder how alcobuddy got all those ads on craigslist without getting flagged off??? you can go to any craigslist in just about any city and see their ad for their machine and also some hair curler vending machine.(((now thats funny..hair curler...lol))

I have some bar locations and they have put those machines in ,,and the bar owners tell me nobody uses them..I don't know but i would go to a location and watch it on a fri-sat night and see if you see anybody use it in like 1 hour,, do the average on hours open but only use that number for the peak hours,,use probably a zero for all the other hours open..would probably give you a true average..

seems like a gimmick fad to me,,sorta like a uturn or other biz op..

In Topic: Do vending machine operators end up with a lot of foreign coins?

11 July 2012 - 09:58 AM

I get tons of foreign coins in my bulk machines that have drop through coin mechs..

There is a guy that places these single model 83 norhwesterns in my accounts all the time, he actually sells wheat pennys and old coins for 75 cents a pop!!!

when the kid gets the old wheat penny he normally just puts it in my machine hoping to get a gum ball. Funny thing is when the penny falls through the fall through mech and the kid gets nothing they actually think I'm the one who ripped them off!!!!!!!!!

also a lot of the soldiers coming home from HELL came back with alot of fake silver dollars etc from afghanistan ....I went to meet a young soldier who had bunch of them for sale on craigslist... He was puzzled when i got a magnet out and picked them up!! He thought they where real but then i explained to him that the US mint has never produced a coin that could be picked up with a magnet,if it can then its fake!!

They looked really old too,,I read that they where minting them in China and flooding the markets over there with them..

This its also reason why the good coin sorters (cummins allison etc.) have a magnet on them to pick up the canadian quarters mixed in a lot of change you probably deposit in bank, I always get a envelope back from my bank when i make deposit with about 3-5 canadian quarters in it..I keep them as when oil prices go up normally the canadian quarter is actually worth more than us quarter......
and I also have 4 sons so if these idiots in washington ever want to go fight with a real enemy like China and want to draft my boys i might need them to buy bread when I'm living in the canadian wilderness!!! lol

oh yeah...I use a lot of silver dollars in my coin pushers for prizes so that is why i was searching craigslist for them..

In Topic: japanese cashier vending machine

11 July 2012 - 09:40 AM

I have found if you see the machine in asia you can normally find it on alibaba.com ...I went to taiwan and played a game that gave you metal marbles(like ball bearings) ..you could then cash them in for a hair comb or plastic fan(like chuckie cheese does tickets)

now you go two doors down to a dress shop and the cashier would buy the comb from you for cash money!!!

It was their way of getting away with gambling machines... I wanted to try it here and found the machines on alibaba... they where cheap and shipping was actually higher than the machine!!

have a funny story about taiwan also...I am sure everybody here is aware of the bad racist "N" word some idiots call African Americans...Well there is a word that is pronounced the same in chinese that translates to "that"..
I was with a friend (who is african american) at a night market in taiwan and he almost punched this little chinese dude because he kept pointing at him saying "Naker,Naker" (short a sound) because he was pointing at a product he was holding in his hand and the guy wanted to sell him one cheaper.... I crack up every time i think of Joe's face when this guy starts yelling at him and pointing at him saying that...

hope that helps
