Who's makin' money?

06 October 2007 - 10:47 AM

I have been considering getting some vending books, and to be perfectly straight I don't want to waste my money. I saw Ronnie Talents web page and he reminds me of some "cheeseball" get rich quick schme artist. Despite that I have been considering spending some money and buying his program and books. Has anyone used the GBW book on locating? Do you have any recommendations?

Thanks,
Joe

Going in for the landing

What approach do you use when you personally do the locating of your machines? If you had to write a locating script, what would it look like? What would you do...What would you say? What are the answers to your customer's objections?

Charity Stickers

01 October 2007 - 04:20 PM

I have finally registered my assumed business name...$5 with the clerk, $90 with the paper (ouch!). I was looking at the options for charites and it seems they all have stickers you are supposed to put on the machine. It may just be me, but I think it looks kind of tacky to put those stickers on your machine. Do you really put these stickers on your machine?

Cash drawers, are they worth paying extra for?

30 September 2007 - 02:14 PM

I have been researching machines and trying to make the best decision possible. I really liked the machines at GBW. My wife saw the same machines at gumballs.com and saw that they had a cash drawer for an extra $75. Is it really worth the extra money for a cash drawer. How easy is it to get the money out. I don't have any machines yet and have no clue on how easy or hard it is to get the money out. My wife will be helping me once my business grows enough since she is a stay at home wife. Maybe she can keep our kids occuppied with counting quarters ;)

Also if anyone has advise on locating I'd love it. I'd like to self-locate and I assumed that the best approach is to just show up with the full machine talk to the owner find out if he has a place for it and if he does leave it there. Do you use contracts or just verbal agreements?

Thanks,
Joe

Spiral Gumball machines...Worth the $$$

27 September 2007 - 11:21 AM

I am going to enter into the bulk candy/gumball business. My wife keeps pushing me towards the 5ft Gumball Wizard which will cost $489 with S&H. Are the spiral gumball machines worth the hefty pricetag?
