help pepsi machine exact change light shorted out machine wont take money

the exact change light was broken and someone tried to put a quarter in the light and shorted it out now the machine will not take money

changed out the coin changer and still nothing help

It sounds like you may have shorted out the credit relay.  There are no solid state devices or fuses in the machine, only wires and circuits, many of which run through the credit relay.  PM me if you need one.

What is the credit relay i replaced a relay on the machine the only one i saw not sure if it was the credit relay where would i find the credit relay thanks for all your help too

The only relay in the machine is the credit relay.  If you replaced that and still have the same problem then look at all of your motors and see if the motor switches are in the exact same position on each motor.  When a motor is at home there will be one switch arm resting in a notch in the motor timing cam and one switch arm will not be in a notch.  If you find a motor with both switch arms in a notch or both arms out of a notch then that can create an open vend circuit.  The shorted correct change light may have jolted one or more motors to be off home.

thanks i checked all the motors and found two not in the home positions i fixed that but still nothing the light on the changer is not on was told it would always be on we changed out with a new changer and still nothing any other ideas you have been a great help so far and i thank you
