I have never seen a Seaga that was made in the US either.

With all due respect kennr, If youve ever seen a Seaga, then you've seen a Seaga that was made in the US. While 90% of the components that make up a Seaga are manufactured here in the US, 100% of the machines are assembled here in the US making it a US made product.

Forgive me for contradicting you. I just received a new Seaga TV3000 triple vend. The box clearly says "Made in China". Perhaps this is something new for them?

Oh I apologize. I should have been more specific. The Seaga millinea's are what I am referring to. I tend to forget that Seaga makes other models as well. I do not run any triple vends so I'm not too familiar with them.

Whew,
I'm sure glad I came here because I was about to spend $156 on a Seaga triplevend and GBW has a very similar looking machine for a lot less. From what it sounds like you either hate or love your seaga, but I haven't heard anything bad about the GBW machines

Keep reading. With a little luck you will decide not to start with triples either.

Yep! You're right. I am probably going with 3 seperate globes. I've heard the pros and cons of 2 and 3 heads. Although 2 heads make sense to me I am partial to variety and will probably go with 3. My wife wants me to spend an extra $25 per head and get a cash drawer. Do you think it is worth it? I don't know how easy it is to retrieve all the quarters. SO I don't know if it is worth it. I would guess not since I haven't seen a lot of machines with the cash drawer on it.

Joebob,

I, like many others probably, have run both types of machines and while the drawers are a nice feature, they are not worth extra money. I simply lift the entire body off the base and pour the quarters out of the coin trays into a bag. If you buy a machine with out coin trays, they are readily available on eBay for far less than the cost of the drawer. Even without the tray collecting the loot is not all that difficult.

Hope this helps

Steve

These Oak Vistas look pretty cool. They sort of remind me of RedBox movie machines. Does anyone else own any Oak Vistas that can vouch for their credibility in comparison to Beavers? If Oak Vistas are less expensive than Beavers but they're just as dependable then, perhaps, they are a better investment? Any ideas or thoughts?

I've been in the bulk vending business for over 20 yrs. The ONLY bulk vending machine to operate is the Beaver Machine. Do you want a machine that RUNS and looks great? Do you want to have practically NO service calls? If so, by Beaver Equipment. The coin mech. and internally components are worth their weight in GOLD. Good luck...

Hello,

I am looking to put candy machines in my retail trading post, plus I am looking to start a little vending business. I have read this forum both pages and I have a couple of newbie questions. My Trading Post is in an old 1800's mining ghost town that comes to life every summer. My season runs May-Sept. I had about 70,000 people thru my store in four months last summer. I am looking for machines that will stand up to a lot of people and kids. My store is about 900 square feet and is an old house that was built in 1875. Are there any old antique looking machines made that would fit with the time period? I see that most people here like single head machines what is wrong with double, triple, or 4 in 1 machines that rotate? What would be the best approach to my store? Also where do you purchase Beaver Machines? Thank you! Jacque
