I received a memo from the state of Florida Dept. of Revenue. on June 15,2010. It states that on July 1, 2010 all soda and food machines will be required to have this notice be placed on all machines. It changes the wording from the old notice. They claim that they will impose a $250.00 penalty on each of the operators machines that don't comply. Also, interest will accrue on the $250.00 penalty according to Chapter 212, Florida Statutes. They have revived the old notice that would compensate a person with 10% of previous unpaid taxes from the operator. This is the notice that needs to be on your machine.

NOTICE TO CUSTOMER:

FLORIDA LAW REQUIRES THIS NOTICE TO BE POSTED ON ALL FOOD AND BEVERAGE VENDING MACHINES.
Report any machine without a notice to 1-800-352-9274. You may be eligible for a cash
reward. DO NOT USE THIS NUMBER TO REPORT PROBLEMS WITH THE VENDING MACHINE SUCH AS LOST
MONEY OR OUT-OF-DATE PRODUCTS. (THIS LINE NEEDS TO BE UNDERLINED)

YOU ALSO NEED TO HAVE THE NAME OF YOUR COMPANY, ADDRESS, CITY , STATE, ZIP CODE AND TAX NUMBER ON THE TOP OF THE NOTICE.

I checked out some of the Pepsi and Coke machines they still don't have any new stickers on them. Maybe the tax dept. gave them a break because they have so many machines. I got mine up yesterday. I have only eight on location and did the printing myself on my computer using Avery shipping labels..............Nick

i just found out about this yesterday. my guess is that the enforcement is pretty lax unless someone turns you in how would anyone know you never changed the stickers, its not like they know where the machines are. i'm going to do the same as you next week, hopefully i wont have any problems.
