Hello all...new to the forum and in need of a bit of help. I recently bought a Vendo model 576 - 8 selection machine to sit in a friends barber shop. I bought the machine sight unseen for under 400 bucks so I think she is a good deal. I have 5 selections working perfectly vending soda pop 4 deep. the other 3 selections read sold out even when loaded. I have checked the micro switch on the selection buttons as well as all of the top micro switch's on the motors above the cams. All of those micro switches interchange with "working selections" and work flawlessly. Any ideas as to why this is reading "sold out" when its not???

Also I would like to be able to vend bottled water and possibly monster/red bull/rock star drinks. When I load bottled water in the machine it just jams up VERY easily....when it does not jam up it dispenses 2 waters at once. I have 2 white clips on the bottom of the product spacers.....do I need any different spacers or am I doing something else wrong?

Any insight would be tremendously appreciated!!! :D

Can be an issue right on the control board. Also could be the sold out switch in the bottom of the columns. Can you manually turn the motors? Try to run a "test vend" through the control board (if your board has that option) Can be the motors themselves. Try switching the motors from a working selection to a non working selection. Hope this helps

Have you gotten into the program mode and done a test vend on the three sold out slots. If the motors are not functioning or jammed it will go into the sold out mode until the jam is cleared or the bad motor replaced. 4 deep setups are prone to jams. I have set all my vendos for three deep because I got tired of unjamming the fouth can.
you can do this by moving the back spacer forward and reseting the cam on the front of the motor to position #3
If the motors all work I would next check the micro switch under the sold out flap and make sure there is a price programed for those slots.
As for the bottles the machine is set up for cans so you have to remove the shim inside the slot because the bottles are too fat. Then move the bar underneath, that has the two white clips to slot #3 and move the cam setting to #2 and that will allow you to put bottles in two deep. The only way I have found to do energy drinks that will not jam or vend two at a time is to do a one deep setup. Some of it depends on what brand and the size of the can. You have to play around with the shim and the bar underneath to see what works best.

Let us know what happens

I have gotten into the program mode but no test vend option that I see....all i can do is turn the lights on and off and well as the compressor....but not the test vend option. I have moved all of the removable micro switches out around to working slots...they all work....maybe the motors are just shot....they are the top three buttons on the machine so they would more than likely be the most used buttons.

I know about the bar with the white clips and the cam settings......but what do you mean by the shim? Would I be able to vend the smaller water bottles such as nestle and ozarka water? The 16.9 oz water bottles? Also I will be sure to move the back spacer forward and just vend a 3 can set up to avoid future problems.....it there a trick to moving the top part of the back spacer? the bottom moves very easily but not the top.....again than you guys for all of your help!

You can vend the 16.9 water bottles. But becarefull at the brand you choose. Some of them use flismy bottles that end up loosing there shape and getting jammed. The best bottle I have found is Aqufina, but not all of them. The ones that look like they have rings about half way up from the bottom are the most rigid. The other ones are junk.

Have you tried checking (and clearing) your error log file?

Here's a link with a manual on how to get into the setting/software.

I am due to service this machine on Saturday...I will check the log files then....thank you for the advice, I hope it works...also could anyone guide me to the proper set up to vend bottled water for my machine? All of my selections are set up for cans right now. I would like at least one slot for bottled water. I know that I cannot use the Ozarka or anything like that, but i must use good name brand Aquafina or Dasani water due to the bottles being a little more solid and not as flimsy to avoid jamming. Does anyone have step by step instructions on the set up for water?
