I work for a water vending company and we give out our own tokens to customers sometimes, but our machines take tokens from chuck e cheese, cicis pizza, car washes, really just about any token there is, i have tried to teach it to reject other tokens but nothing seems to work, has anyone else had this problem???

How did you try to inhibit the tokens? (in menu stucture or did you just pressed ˙ellow, B-button and then the reject lever)

from factory the CF7000 doesn't accept any tokens at all.
There are 32 pre-programmed tokens the 7000 can handle, 4 can be enabled and 2 can be programmed simultaneously.
If your 7000 is accepting more than 6 different tokens i guess it needs service.

If you need the Quick reference card or the Engineers handbook (English) just let me know and i wil email them.

I went through the menu and tried to set it up through the reject token option, we have them programmed to accept our kind of tokens, could the problem possibly just be that the tokens are the same weight or composition of can the CF7000 really tell the difference? We also use TRC6512's and they seem to do the same thing, accept almost any kind of token, i know there is a big difference in mechs there but it makes me believe it may just be that the coins are too similar

This could be the case.

The 7900 should know the difference coz if you program a token the correct way you should insert 31 tokens to complete the learning mode.

to be sure insert a couple of tokens en look at the lcd screen of the 7900, if you insert different tokens and it keeps displaying that it recognizes only one kind you can assume the tokens are equal on composition.

there's also a setting for hi acceptance/hi security , i think it's for coins but maybe it also works on tokens.

try this:

Menu --> setup --> A B C --> coin config --> select --> security --> select --> edit --> select Hi Security.

I guess the part where my company was going wrong was having it on high acceptance, once i changed that setting it did wonders for the token issue. Does having it set to high acceptance override any reject token i teach? either way thanks for the help

I can't say for sure since i only see the 7900 occasionally but it sounds like it does.

Good to know your problem is solved.
