Aluminum loading ramps? Quite a bit cheaper then a lift. Has anyone used these? I can find units that are rated for 1500lbs (maxed out with two large guys and a 1000lbs machine) 12-16 feet long, 36 inches wide? Do you think this would do for the back of a pickup truck, im still kinda wondering how you would carry the ramp, cause it would stick out so far. Anyone used these? or are they just too hard on the back etc.?

On this topic of lift gates, any one ever get a lift gate installed on their pick up truck? ive seen some on Ebay and found some with google searches, 1000-2000lb capacity looks like for most models. Fairly resonably priced.

Low trailer with a heavy duty long ramp should work as well. High sides made out of square tubing so you can tie the machine in. I think thats the route im gunna go for.

Thanks for everyones input. Does anyone have experience with a electric pallet jack? How high can you lift with this? Ive seen some that are rated for 6000lbs, others 2000-4000. Hmmm actually, I guess that wont work either cause you'll need to pick the pallet jack up and bring it with you...Im thinking low trailer with a ramp, or lift gate is the way to go? Or just hire out. Thanks
