I just bought a vendo v192-6 machine and the power cooling system works but it wont vend. I don't know if it has a short somewhere or if there is a much bigger problem. the machine came out of a old garage and is pretty dirty. I really don't know where to start looking for problems. there are two plugs that are just hanging loose out of the box where the plug for the light comes out of. i don't know if those go somewhere or if there are extra plugs.
any help would be great

These are easy to troubleshoot if you break things down one step at a time. The place I would start is does it take money. Will it take dollar bills or change. What happens when you put correct change in it? Does it count the money and then not do anything or does the change go to the coin return?
If it counts the money and then you push a selection button what happens? anything? nothing?
These are questions that need to be answered before you can move on

It counts the money but when you push any buttons nothing happens. It doesn't have a bill option. the machine is rather old and has no digital screens of any kind.

okay your answer leads me to these questions. Do you have product in any of the slots when you try to make it vend?
If the machine is totally empty it is in a sold out condition and will not vend.
Is there change in the coin mech tubes especially nickels? The machine will only vend if exact change is used unless there are enough nickels in the nickel tube to make change with.
When you push a selection and nothing happens can you push the coin return and get your money back?
When you put the coins in where do they go?

Your answer to these questions will help determine if this is just a bad coin mech or if there is a bigger problem.

I have placed soda in every slot. there is no extra change but i have only place exact change in it when trying to make it work. when i push the coin return i get my change back in the correct slot. it does have an individual coin return on the coin mechanism itself and the three coins have a separate button and only the nickle one works.
I have only tried quarters and they go into the quarter slot. i will try the others and give you the results shortly.

I got the machine to vend and then i ran into another problem. one of the wires insulators had broken off so it arched on the metal and now it wont vend. the original problem was that the money that it took had been changed and i had never thought to keep adding money. but i would like to know if there are fuses to check or a reset button or what i can check to see what happened that it wont vend.
