What is the rule of transporting soda machines. Is it ok to lay them down or should they be transported in the upright position. Could the compressor be damaged by laying the unit down.

Soda machines should be hauled standing up due to the oil in the compressor I believe can enter areas it does not belong if stood up then plugged in right away. What I have always heard if must be layed down wait a while before plugging them in.
