I have a friend who is willing to sell me a triple head machine really cheap and I would like to find out more about the charity programs, too. Could somebody chime in and tell us a little bit about how this works?

i have 2 tire/lube shops they do ok , soda only, 40-50 bucks a week on average with cans @ 0.65. i fill it every 2 weeks full up. bottles might do better but lower volume not sure. i put an honor box in the back for the employees to increase my bottom line. small snack machine like that may do ok, except u cant accept bills. you sort of have to decide if that level of gross is acceptable for the amount of work you are doing. if u know what i mean.

I'm just beginning in the vending world, so any level of gross that nets a profit would be thrilling. $40 a week would actually be pretty exciting to start out with.

The location I have in mind is a busy tire shop; the machine would be for the patrons in the lobby. If you've ever had to have any work done at a tire shop, you know that you frequently end up sitting in the lobby for an hour or more. All that is available to customers for snacks is a triple head bulk machine. I was thinking about asking if I could put a snack machine in the lobby to offer the customers something more than handfuls of peanut M&Ms and such while they wait for their vehicles to be serviced. I think a soda machine would also do well at this location, but I only have so much money (or more accurately so little money). The lobby is pretty small, so a smaller machine would fit better. Between the tire displays and furniture for customers to sit on, there isn't much room.

i wouldnt bother with these i have one they are a pain in the ass to change the price and they are very dark inside so its hard to see the product, plus no bill acceptance.

plus 75 is way too much i guarantee you can get it under 50 or find one under 50 if you have some patience

I'm pretty sure I could talk the guy down to $50 or less, but even if I could I'm not sure I want the machine that badly. They are an awkward size, too big for most magazine tables at places like tires shops, and too small to carry the really wide variety of a full size snack machine. I'm thinking very seriously about skipping the idea altogether; I'm already planning on trying a few honor boxes around town and I'm not sure I want the added hassle of a machine like this.

Did you decide against the honor boxes? You can get around 25/30 honor boxes for what this machine cost....

No, definitely haven't decided against it. I think I'm going to order some next week. I already have a couple of locations I think would be good; I just need to get the boxes and go ask the locations if I can put a box there.
